REVIEWS
The class was well thought out. Even though I was the only one signed up, the class was still held which I appreciate! I received a lot of feedback and was able to get a lot out of the class.

Title or Location: Daisy
Background Story of ?Daisy? This painting was created with deep love and intention for my aunt, Kimmie, she is so selfless and kind to everyone around her. During a family visit for Thanksgiving 2024, I decided to give each loved one a piece of art as a heartfelt gift. This particular painting was one of them, and it holds special meaning. The dog in the painting is Daisy, my aunt's loyal companion. Capturing Daisy on canvas felt like capturing a piece of my aunt?s heart. I poured hours into e

Title or Location: Through Water Comes Friendship
The painting depicts a view from the beach along the Schuylkill River, where paddlers launch their boats. This location has fostered numerous connections and friendships among the paddling community. Having been a competitive paddler for over 23 years, I find this place allows me to unwind, enjoy the water, be with friends, and appreciate the stunning Philadelphia skyline.

Title or Location: Smell the rain?
Oil sketch, 11?x14?. This is my first attempt with oils after a 38 year career as an exhibit designer. Started with quick turp washes, then built up some detail. I was going to continue, but I kind of like it the way it is. Anxious to start another, and having fun.

Title or Location: Authenticity
My art "Authenticity"This piece represents my journey of transformation ? a journey of becoming the truest and most authentic version of myself. It is about releasing limiting beliefs, breaking free from old patterns, and leaving behind the masks I once wore to fit expectations and seek acceptance. The act of removing the mask symbolizes letting go of the false identities that no longer serve me and embracing who I truly am.At its heart, this artwork carries a powerful message: be aut

Title or Location: My Favourite Toy
This is Marley, one of my loopy border collies. I managed to take the reference photo for this drawing in one of his quiet moments, while he was hugging his favourite toy and stopping his brother Bob from stealing it! It was a challenge drawing him on pastelmat as I'm not too experienced with it but quiete happy with how he came out! He's drawn in a mix of faber castel polychromos, caran d'ache luminance and some derwent drawing pencils.

Title or Location: Balnagask golf course
I loved this photograph from John Strachan photography and finally got around to painting it in acrylic. I tried to be quite loose with the painting as there was so much detail. in the end I thought the sky looked a bit bare so with the help of Chat GPT I added seagulls to the photo and was then able to paint them into my art work. This painting will be heading for the Aberdeen art show the end of August for sale.
